Lets Explore Beautiful Places In Philippines (2nd Tour)

February 05, 2019

During this trip we went together with our TTI (Teacher Training Instructor) mam Bacister and her family also with our 5 friends from the CTE student teacher.

In this trip we already planned together from several dyas ago. From SEA Teacher were only three of us on this trip, Kisna, Ris, and Diyah while our anothers friends went with our coordinators.

Wind Mill Bangui, Ilocos Norte

This is the first time I have seen a windmill directly. It's amazing there are a lot of windmills there, and also with very large sizes and certainly have extraordinary functions for Philippines.

The scenery there is also very beautiful with blue sea and strong winds, the weather also tends to be hot but it does not matter for us, we still enjoyed the beautiful scenery there.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

It took a long trip to get here but we enjoyed it. When we were arrival at the Pagudpud we immediately went to the roofed cottage houses there. We also had lunch together, sharing and discussed many things. Mam Bacister and her family are very kind to us.

There we also celebrated our friend's birthday Ris, even though its not the right time of his birthday because we gave him a greeting one day before his birthday.

After finished our lunch we walked to the beach and enjoyed the atmosphere there.
Pagudpud is a beach with beautiful sea and sand water. We were stayed there for approximately 2 hours.

Then, we returned to the cottage house and ate cake together, we will continue our journey to visit the next place but before we leave Pagudpud we first bought souvenirs.

Kapurpurawan, Burgos Ilocos Norte

When in Ilocos, one should definitely see nature’s beautiful attraction of the creamy white rock destination called the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation (primer.com.ph)

This is also one of amazing places I met in Philippines because this place is vast and filled with rocks. Surrounded by sea water. The formation of the rocks in this place is very beautiful and amazing

Light House, Burgos Ilocos Norte

We only stop here for only a few minutes. Because when we want to entered the lighthouse we needed to paid first. And we decided not to enter it because it was already late in the afternoon.

The ways to get to the top of the lighthouse is takes a long time because its far, but we enjoyed it,  along the road there are a  lot of trees.

Fort Illocandia Resort, Laoag

This hotel really gergeous and uniq just like the name. I was enchanted although the time when we came here it’s already night, but the view and also the lamp looks amazing. I could not imagined if it’s in the morning/afternoon it should be more beautiful.

Fort Illocandia is a home for everyone who seeks absolute satisfaction. History bound with touches of old-world artistry and modern convenience. (fortilocandia.com.ph)

Just like the others places that we visited previously we were took picture together due to this hotels has a lot of good spot for taking picture. We spend our time in this hotels for a moment, walked around through the side of this hotels and saw the uniqueness of architecture. After that we went back to our home  mam Bacister and her family also accompanied us to take home (mansion).

My First Time Teaching

February 4, 2019

Before the class started in teaching and learning process we needs to considered about stimulus and response that will occurred in the classroom. Students will easily catch the learning process if they feel happy and have high motivation

We as a teacher also need to prepare our mentality and our self-confidence when teaching students. This will be obtained if the teacher truly understands what material will be delivered to students.
The first time I had taught students  in front of class made me really nervous before came to the class, I worried about I could not delivered the material well, or I was afraid to forget some of the material that I should delivered to students. Indeed Self-control is a very important thing to do.

This is also happening to me, when I want to teach the student, I will teach Grade 8 (Charles). Although I already had teaching pair previously with student teacher from CTE. But for teach individually this was my first time. I should have a practice before I come to the class, especially when I have a story telling in front of class I should be prepared it. about my expression, the way I spoke, and also memorized the text.

But when I entered the classroom seeing students faces, finally everything could be overcome slowly, I began to delivered the material from the beginning to the end in sequence according to the lesson plan I had made before.
In the class they also pay attention and if I asked question related to the material some of them already understood the material that was presented before.

The challenge for me is how to delivered the material with a different version and make them felt interested.
The experience of teaching is very pleasant, after this I hope that I will improve the way Im teaching and be better in the future.

RG Jar Factory, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur

Getting down and dirty is part of visiting Vigan City. But get your minds off the gutter; I’m talking about getting literally dirty, like molding a clay, spinning it and creating something beautiful. Well, maybe not that last part, it takes a very skilled hand to achieve that.

We were at Vigan’s Pagburnayan, the iconic pottery place in the city. The name, Pagburnayan, comes from the root word burnay. It refers to the hand-crafted earthenware pots made from Vigan. Bantog clays these are called. They’re dug from the western barangays of the city.  (lakadpilipinas.com)

It was unique and beautiful place, because there we saw a lot of antique jar with different characteristics, with different size big, middle, small and It’s also have different price

The special things there we can also try to make jar by ourself. They are very welcome and will help us if we want to try and have experience in creating our own jar. After we make the jar, we can also buy it to take home, but if we do not want to buy it, there is no problem the owner of the jar will put it together with another jar that was made before

Hidden Garden, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur

This was one of the beautiful places in Vigan City, like the named Hidden Garden, the garden was hidden in the deepest part. How to getting there we should came to entered the place, walking inside until we find it.

When entering the hidden garden you will also find souvenirs characteristic of hidden garden, there are also many plants that was planted there and also there was several restaurant food and a coffee shop there

Hidden garden also great place for everyone who want to explore and looking for beautiful flowers and plant, Also there was unique jar in Hidden Garden called Clay Pot Tower it’s really awesome.

Baluarte Zoo, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur

Baluarte Zoo is a zoological park in Vigan City. Around 12 p.m we stopped at Baluarte for lunch. There, I and my friend bought squid.

After we finished our lunch we were hunting for souvenirs because there were a lot of sold there. I bought lots of souvenirs, such as clothes, wallets and magnets. After that,  I entered the Baluarte zoo area.

The place is very wide and there are a lot of animals inside Baluarte Me and my friends just walked around for a while to look for the animals and the view there. It's quite crowded, the weather also feels hot. But we enjoyed it.

Vigan City, Ilocos Sur

Vigan city such an amazing place the view is overwhelmingly beautiful  feeling like in the European. First time we arrived here, it’s really enchanted me. Saw how the architecture there, the ancient of building which has uniqueness each other.

Established in the 16 century, Vigan is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia. (whc.unesco.org)

There are also riding vehicles such traditional transportation there, they call it Kalesa ride.
There are a lot of Kalesa ride in Vigan city, The driver always offered us do we want to riding it.

There is also awesome historical sites in Vigan, named St. Paul Mmetropolitan Cathedral, popularly well knows as Vigan Cathedral, and old church building in Ilocos region. This bulding has large size and also magnificent. When the first time come to Vigan our eyes will captivating on this building. Because the shape is really gorgeous.

At the first time I did not realize that this building was a church but after we went back to our bus, we took the time to take pictures there. Then I realized that this building was a church.

While enjoying the beauty of Vigan City, we also hunted souvenirs there  and did not forget to capture the moments. Not only in Vigan in some of the previous destinations it is also a must to be enshrined to become unforgettable memories.

TAN-OK Illocano Festivals

We went back from Vigan City at around 3 p.m and stopped briefly at a restaurant to eat. where we ate Miki.
Than, our journey continues we went to Laoag. Around 5 p.m we arrived there and took a rest before the TAN-OK event began. When Its already 6:30 a.m. than we entered the TAN-OK place.
TAN-OK Is a large festival held in Ilocos Norte. We were given a VIP pass so that we could watching this show easily. Because this event was crowded with the audience. When the show began we still needed to stand up so that we could see more clearly.

I enjoyed this festivals. Around 9 p.m even though this event was not over yet we would back to the mansion, to took a rest because some of us were tired after a long full day trip.
