RG
Jar Factory, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
Getting down and dirty is part of
visiting Vigan City. But get your minds off the gutter; I’m talking about
getting literally dirty, like molding a clay, spinning it and creating
something beautiful. Well, maybe not that last part, it takes a very skilled
hand to achieve that.
We were at Vigan’s Pagburnayan, the
iconic pottery place in the city. The name, Pagburnayan, comes from
the root word burnay. It refers to the hand-crafted earthenware
pots made from Vigan. Bantog clays these are called. They’re dug from the
western barangays of the city. (lakadpilipinas.com)
It was unique and beautiful place, because there we
saw a lot of antique jar with different characteristics, with different size
big, middle, small and It’s also have different price
The special things there we can also try to make jar
by ourself. They are very welcome and will help us if we want to try and have
experience in creating our own jar. After we make the jar, we can also buy it
to take home, but if we do not want to buy it, there is no problem the owner of
the jar will put it together with another jar that was made before

Baluarte
Zoo, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
Baluarte Zoo is a zoological park in Vigan City. Around
12 p.m we stopped at Baluarte for lunch. There, I and my friend bought squid.
After we finished our lunch we were hunting for
souvenirs because there were a lot of sold there. I bought lots of souvenirs,
such as clothes, wallets and magnets. After that, I entered the Baluarte zoo area.
The place is very wide and there are a lot of animals
inside Baluarte Me and my friends just walked around for a while to look for
the animals and the view there. It's quite crowded, the weather also feels hot.
But we enjoyed it.
Vigan city such an amazing place the view is
overwhelmingly beautiful feeling like in
the European. First time we arrived here, it’s really enchanted me. Saw how the
architecture there, the ancient of building which has uniqueness each other.
Established in the 16 century, Vigan is the
best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its
architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere
in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and
townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia.

There are also riding vehicles such traditional
transportation there, they call it Kalesa ride.
There are a lot of Kalesa ride in Vigan city, The
driver always offered us do we want to riding it.
There is also awesome historical sites in Vigan, named
St. Paul Mmetropolitan Cathedral, popularly well knows as Vigan Cathedral, and
old church building in Ilocos region. This bulding has large size and also
magnificent. When the first time come to Vigan our eyes will captivating on
this building. Because the shape is really gorgeous.
At the first time I did not realize that this building
was a church but after we went back to our bus, we took the time to take
pictures there. Then I realized that this building was a church.
While enjoying the beauty of Vigan City, we also
hunted souvenirs there and did not forget
to capture the moments. Not only in Vigan in some of the previous destinations
it is also a must to be enshrined to become unforgettable memories.
